This update included new tools and fixes.

New - Analysis Tools​

General /UI

  • 2024 validated data for Progress 8, EBacc and SVA added (these were added in a patch in February).

EBacc

  • Pupil EBacc APS column added to main grid.

Fixes - Analysis Tools​

General / UI

  • The tenant selector is now visible in the mobile view of the sidebar – the school logo appears at the top of menu icons list.
  • All subject tools renamed ‘Courses’ for consistency with new terminology.
  • Series with no grades are now handled in table-based analysis tools; an empty grid is shown instead of errors.

EBacc

  • EBacc APS column figure shows in black.

Performance Tracking

  • Exported filename correction.

Progress 8

  • Consistent naming between extra columns options and their respective labels in the grid.
  • Basket scores show in red/green to match formatting of the main P8 score.

Results Overview

  • Fixed a row alignment issue.
  • If a subject grade is missing in the comparison series it is now only registered in the Missing column, as opposed to both Above and Missing.

Course Analysis

  • No longer errors when key stage 2 score is 0 for the selected course.
  • Fixed a calculation issue with KS2 APS which was dividing by all entries as opposed to those with an entry AND KS2 data.
  • Improved handling if no Course is selected.
  • Exported filename correction.
  • UI improvements.

Course Overview

  • Percentage of entries column now populates.
  • UI improvements.

Courses Summary

  • Pupils not marked as 'included/visible' (in Series > Pupils) are no longer included in entry counts.

X Grade Handling

  • Fixed - X grades were incorrectly counting in following calculations/tools:
  • Results Overview tool - before comparing to another series, summary APS treated X grades as an entry (i.e. all points added up / number of entries, X was included in the entry count)
  • Press Release - the Entries widget included X grades in entry counts and aps calculations. In the Pupil Breakdown view, this was also an issue in the individual pupil total entry count column (under Entries > Total column).
  • Course Overview - X was counting as an entry when calculating the KS2 aps, P8 and performance sections.

Fixes - Admin​

General / UI

  • Tools using the data select option on the right of the screen will update accordingly if the AC Year is changed.

Base Data

  • Clear Data option now shows a confirmation prompt before deletion.
  • When data is cleared for one or more pupils they remain visible in the grid.
  • Removing / clearing data triggers the recalculate process for all series for the active cohort.
  • Editing Scaled Scores automatically populates the PAB and TM bandings, and triggers the recalculate process for all series for the active cohort on save.

Demographics

  • Search can be left set to ‘Any’ and it will return all values.

Edit Series

  • Results column value is fixed and no longer duplicates the course count.
  • In the single series view, Results column value is fixed and no longer duplicates the course count.

Import (Arbor)

  • Courses without classes come through correctly.
  • Form Groups will import.
  • Will now retrieve Head of Years, House and Form Tutors
  • Staff gender value of null is now handled.
  • At the point of data extraction, the user will now see a list of processes and tasks.
  • If the ‘import photos’ option is disabled, it will no longer remove any existing photos for the selected students on import completion.
  • Duplicate records no longer appear in GroupPupils and GroupStaff when there are multiple classes with the same name in the same year group.
  • Fixed a bug where Classes are not linked to Year Group if the Year in Arbor is not in the Format "Year X" - Now the numeric characters are retrieved from any Year group name and linked if the retrieved number is in between 7 and 13.
  • Pupils with multiple values against one demographic: This is now fixed. The import UI will show the value based on the effective date for validation but brings in all the demographic records for the selected pupils.
  • On re-running an MIS extract, all the demographic records for selected pupils are deleted and then re-inserted.
  • Fixed an issue whereby the FSM status was using Pupil Premium information - FSM now imports correct values.

Import (Data Connections)

  • Data Connections tab UI will update when the MIS connection details are removed.
  • Bromcom MIS connection modal no longer allows the user to enter the school details; this is managed by 4Matrix.

Import (Desktop Migrator)

  • On completing an import, the TM Measure is calculated from Scaled Scores (shown in the Base Data tool, used for Subject Value Added).

Import (General)

  • Import and calculation processes are completed in the background once an import is completed by the user; this rectifies time-out issues when a large amount of data is imported.
  • AC year options 2019/2020 and older are removed.
  • Importing Yes/No values for fields that support True/False will now overwrite existing values.
  • In the Create Series modal, Year Groups that already exist cannot be created again (which would cause duplicates); instead they are selected from Existing Year Groups dropdown.
  • Pupils without a UPN are no longer matched to the first pupil without a UPN in the database (if any).
  • General fixes and stability improvements.

Roles

  • Fixed a refresh issue where adding a user to a Role straight after role creation would not apply the selected permissions to the user.
  • The Role Permissions list scrolls within the widget height.

Misc​

  • Updated with SSO options
  • Updated text and links

Name changes to Course tools

  • Export file names updated.
  • Tool names updated in Roles > Permissions list.
  • URLs updated.
