December Update

The December update included new tools and fixes.

Fixes - Analysis Tools​

Group Filters

  • Classes with no subject tag will now show for selection.

KPI and Subject Overview

  • Ethnicity rows are now populating as expected.
  • On expanding a filter row, all demographics and attendance figures now populate accordingly.

Results Overview

  • Fixed pupil ID error when comparison series setting is active.

Performance Tracking

  • Will now apply the active series to the grid on accessing tool for the first time.
  • Removed extra column that contained no data.
  • Fixed an error that might occur on first opening this tool.
  • Percentages in the EnMa section are now rounded to 2dp.
  • Fixed the ‘Entered’ and ‘Only English 4+’ figures in the EnMa section.
  • Removed 7+ from Science and MFL sections.
  • Each section has been reordered with improved field names.
  • Fixed an issue that caused all icons in the delta column to disappear when a comparison series was toggled in the left navigation menu.

Press Release Pupil Breakdown

  • Show Columns Ethnicity, Attendance and Demographics columns now populate accordingly.

Pupil Filters

  • SEN filter of 'any of' will now show correctly in left menu when more than one value is selected e.g. E and K (instead of is 'anyof none').
  • Ethnicity filters are now working as expected.

Subject Comparison

  • Applied a fix to the Chart View whereby it would show all pupils, regardless of entries.

Subject Summary and Subject Overview

  • Fixed the Subject Progress 8 calculation which was incorrectly including X grades as entries.

Fixes - Admin Tools​

Demographics

  • Fixed an issue with the demographics tool not showing all pupils.

Edit Series (Main Grid)

  • Results column value is fixed and no longer duplicates the course count.
  • Role search label updated to 'Visibility'.
  • Multi-selecting series shows the number selected on the Bulk Changes Button as a badge.
  • The Edit modal now shows the series date, instead of today's date.
  • The Edit modal allows a Year Group to be applied (which can be used to 'fix' broken links between Series and Year Groups if all groups are deleted).
  • Columns are now expandable.
  • Roles column renamed Visibility.
  • If no roles are applied to a series, the Visibility column shows the label ‘Everyone’.
  • Series are now ordered newest to oldest within each year group.
  • Fixed an issue with the Series Date setting to 1000 on manual creation of a series.

Edit Series (Single Series View)

  • Added a new function: Bulk Actions Populate Fields By Date, which can be used to sync all demographic flags based on the selected date, from the values in the Demographics tool.
  • The Edit modal now shows the series date, instead of today's date.
  • The Edit modal allows a Year Group to be applied (which can be used to 'fix' broken links between Series and Year Groups if all groups are deleted).
  • Reduced the size of the back arrow button.

Groups

  • Fixed the Add Staff modal to show all staff (instead of first 20 records only).
  • Fixed the Add Staff modal height and scroll function.

Import (Arbor MIS)

  • Effective date is set to the current date.
  • Fixed a bug where the Academic Year selector would select the first record, which might have meant it is not valid for selected Effective Date. This field is now empty unless the corresponding AC Year exists. If it is empty, the AC Year must be created at this point.
  • The import wizard no longer allow the user to proceed to the next step if the Effective Date setting does not match the selected AC Year e.g. if the Effective date is 01/10/2024 and an AC Year of 2023-24, it will flag an error as it is expecting the AC Year to be 2024-25.
  • Scrolling bug fixed in Match Pupils step.
  • Fixed an issue with the import duplicating class memberships due to casing (it is now case insensitive).
  • Fixed a bug whereby the import would not update existing demographics values in the Demographics tool.
  • Contextual extract now imports demographics dates across multiple AC years (start and end dates).
  • The Effective Date is used to pull relevant groups but not the group memberships.
  • Group staff and group pupils will pull through former and future memberships provided they are applicable to the AC Year of the Effective Date.
  • Where a group with the same name exists in a different AC Year, this is now imported correctly instead of being ignored.

Import (all routes)

Match Pupils

  • Pupils are sorted alphabetically by surname and then by forename.
  • Pupils that are unmatched are grouped at the top of the list.

Desktop Migrator

  • Applied a fix to the "Select File" button which would intermittently disappear.

Spreadsheet Import

  • Now imports values formatted as percentages correctly (instead of converting 93% to 0.93%).

Pupil Basedata

  • The Bulk Actions menu now includes options for Clear Data and Calculate Fields. The Calculate Fields option will reset and apply both the Prior Attainment Band and Transition - Matrix Group for the selected pupils, based on the average of the Scaled Scores.
  • The Prior Attainment Band and Transition Matrix Group values will adjust in real time (if applicable) as Scaled Scores are edited in the grid, as the user clicks off the selected Scaled Score cell.
  • The change to make this tool series-driven is reversed; now controlled by the main AC setting and then the year group/pupil selector on the right of the screen. Note that this also means 'off roll' pupils will show here.

Series Pupils

  • Series Pupils is now accessed via the Series tool: Select a series and the Pupils tab.
  • 'Looked after' column added to series pupils grid.
  • 'Service child' column added to series pupils grid.
  • Tools updated with new layout (Demographics/Groups/Basedata)
  • Fix applied whereby if the AC Year setting changes it will update the available data items correctly.

Misc

Show Columns

  • Now consistent options and order between all analysis tools, including UPN, Pupil ID, contextual data and demographics.
