This update included new features and fixes.

New Features – Analysis​

English and Maths Threshold

  • New change threshold grades feature. Choose from pairs of grades (by default, 4Matrix uses 4/5 to match DfE reporting). All metrics will update accordingly.
  • New printable pupil photo report.

Course Comparison

  • New printable pupil photo report (currently only for KS4).

Series Selector

  • New dynamic sizing according to number of available series for the selected year group (applies to main and comparison series options).

New Features – Admin​

Calc Engine / Performance

  • 2027 added.
  • 2027 qualifications and statuses added (Note: New KS5 qualifications will be added later).

Fusion Upload

  • Now supports KS5.

Admin > Groups

  • Where multiple year groups are shown (when creating or editing a group), it is now possible to bulk-select a single year group.

Fixes – Analysis​

Course Summary

  • Combined Science SVA fixed (KS4).
  • Course Summary VA scores standardised and divided by 10 so they show in grade format to match Desktop (KS5).
  • Fixed an issue with Art courses having no VA data (KS5).

Course Overview

  • Combined Science SVA fixed.
  • Fixed - On changing course or adding/changing comparison series, the button in the top right (for changing view) resets to show the default view label (but the rows on screen remain set to the view the user chose) .
  • Fixed the bulk export so it will work when a comparison series is active.
  • Now handles exporting course name of History by adding a suffix of '-1' (History is a reserved tab name in Excel for tracking changes).

Results Overview

  • Export now working as expected (KS5).
  • Now displays all pupils (instead of capping at 100).
  • Fixed an issue whereby filtering would return a blank screen until refreshing.

Course Tracking

  • Fixed - exported file names now prefixed with course tracking (instead of course analysis).

Value Added tool (KS5)

  • Fixed error that occurred if X grades were used.
  • Fixed an intermittent error that occurred if persistent absence = 0.

Press Release (KS5)

  • Pupil Breakdown – main cohort scores (e.g. A Level, Academic) now show undivided points total.
  • Fixed error that occurred if X grades were used
  • Fixed an intermittent error that occurred if persistent absence = 0.

Course Tracking

Fixes – Admin​

Admin > Manage

  • Uploading or removing a logo no longer generates an error.

Permissions

  • Users assigned the default User role can now see Value Added and Course Tracking tools.

Edit Pupils

  • Improved handling of 'Unassigned' filter.
  • Pupils with leaving dates that have passed will now show in this tool with filters of 'Current' and 'Leavers'.
  • The Delete option will now show a warning and allow the user to proceed.

Import

  • Fixed issues with some QANs not appearing inside the course names (in the mapping stage, where existing courses show on the right).

Signup and Emails

  • Various typo corrections.

Edit Results

  • Now saves X grades (KS5).
  • New option to delete Fine Grades.

Admin > Roles/Permissions

  • Formatting is now consistent in tool lists
  • Disabling Course Analysis no longer also hides Course Tracking and Course Value Added from the user.
  • Fixed an issue where Course Tracking would error if the user did not also have access to Course Analysis.

Admin > Series

  • Fixed an error that would sometimes occur when opening KS5 series details.

Migrator

  • Resolved an issue whereby the Markbook tool was not always being populated after using a migrator file to import into Cloud.
  • Now works for Y10 2025-26 (as they use the 2027 calculation engine).

KS5 quals

  • BTEC Extended Diploma grades format fixed (MMD instead of DMM). Note: this will fix the grades for anyone who has already imported them against the incorrect gradeset.
